I Joined A Mom's Club Today!
After all the dashing here and there for Kids Soccer Practices and Games, now the seasons over, I am now left contemplating what to do with my time until next seasons starts. And on top of it, now that my youngest is in kindegarten, I practically have most of the AM time to my leisure.
So, I decided to join the Mom's Club of St. Cecilia Parish and coincidently the time is just right for me in the morning. I thought it would be good to get to know other moms and also have something to do socially outside of my regular circle of friends, on my own time before the kids come home from school. So, I went.
As expected, everyone were friendly enough, and we got to know each other over coffee, tea and donuts, which the organizers provided. It was discussed that we would eventually make a contribution on whatever expenses incur for the club, which is fine with me.
Today, since it was the first meeting, what we did was lined up a few agenda on what we're gonna do from then. I myself thought of one agenda "Mom's night out" and am glad that it was received favorably. I guess all the mom there feels like they do need that break sometimes, too.
Whatmore, they provides Childcare for moms who have babies, and todlers. I think that's great, cos' it enable moms with small kids to participate and also got to go out of the house and network with other moms and also be active in the club activities. I am anticipating this mom's club to be a good support group for us moms too.
All and all, I am glad that I urged myselt to join the club. I am looking forward to a good year ahead for the club. At least this one is more real compared to the Mom's club I belong to online. Nothing compares to the real thing.

You are right there.. May. Online stuff is so surreal compared to real life networking. Thanks, hope it'll turn out fun for me too.
