Just Rambling about Gadget
When it comes to gadget, I am ironically drawn to it. I have to say, techie and electronic stuff amazes me, beats me why. From my Laptop, my JVC HD Video Cam, My Sony DigiCam, and other accessories, I dig 'em all. Most of all I love softwares... especially new one that I can learn and figure out.
Right across the street from where my hubby works, is an Office Depot Store. Last Christmas he told his staff that he is going there to pick my christmas present, and they looked at him like.. At Office Depot!! Hahaha.. I know, it sounded weird eh, but not to me.. hubby knows I am into gadgets.. because I like to learn about things and how it works. It's not so much about owning it for the sake of owning it (hehehe.. there's mind twister there.) but for the mere fact that, I like figuring things out. Once I get to know more about it, I moved on to another stuff.
But my tech-materialism does not extend to me lavishing on whatever new gadgets I see. No, I usually read and observe how users find it first. Because most often than not, the first one always have it's glitches and the one after, usually have all the improvement.
No I don't regularly updates either. For instance, I rather stayed on with Windows 98 for a long time when people almost already got bored with Win XP, sort of way. I eventually were forced to move on to XP because it came with our new desktop. I don't like XP so much... one thing cos of the never ending patches, it runs out the memory and it's still easily invaded by malware and the sorts, for crying out loud. That's not how I work, I am kinda slow in upgrading. But when I do upgrade, whatever it is, better have much more to offer else I rather stay with the good ole' stuff.
So, when hubby bought us both iPhone 3G (8GB) with software version 2.1, I was thrilled, O Yeah!

Cellphone wise, not that it's any better than the Motorolla flip phone that I already have, phone are still phone no matter what, right! It still does it work.
But just for the sake of blogging about it, the interesting part of iPhone first of all are the screen sized and with the internet connection makes it more than just a cellphone. It's a mini computer, an ipod, a GPS and many more in one. I am still finding out the rest.
Ahh.. and all the Apple Apps that came with it and all those can be downloaded for free or to buy for a mere amount. Really, I am going bonkers with all these apps. I am most liking the free podcast, it's an added fillip on top of having my Zen Nano for my Audio Book downloads.
The coolest thing with the iPhone some more, I can listen and watch 'YouTube' while I was at my kids soccer practice. I can surf the Net anywhere I am... as long as there's a 3G or WiFi network in the area, and the Chat on IM, while on the road (when someone is driving, of course) with just running on 3G what more if you're on WiFi you can use Skype or Gtalk and voice talk with online friends anywhere in the world for free. Okay, not for free but for a mere monthly flat fee for the internet connection... and walla.
Well at the end of the day, tech is just a tech.. no matter what, they are nice to have but if you never have them, you don't miss 'em either.
