First Day of Snow

~To switch off music, scroll down and click on the pause button~

Yiiips, its the first day of snow today. My kids were so excited and wanted to go out soonest possible. When prepping them for outdoor, I realized that they had outgrown their snow suit. I should have bought them when I saw some for sale at Fred Meyer during the holiday shopping, but I thouhgt it won't snow anytime soon, guess am wrong eh.

Finally, bundled 'em up three layers of clothing under their jacket and made sure they wore their thermals inside. Proper hats and hoods and waterproof gloves, guess that would do for now, until I can get them a better suit. Ahhh... good thing their winter boots still fits.

Few minutes later, their friends came to joined them. One of them brought a sled. They took turns to ride and pull.

About an hour or so, they moved to the back yard. The snow hasn't gotten thick yet, but its showering away. I hope it will continue till next day, cos it would be nice to see good snow on this part of town where it doesn't snows as much. Might as well, cos its freezing cold outside anyway, will be good to see pretty white December all around.

I looked at this plant, with all the snows resting on it's branches, what beauty I thought. It looks like a mini christmas tree. If only the snows stays on.
It's about 6:47 pm now, hubby is stuck at work. I turned on the news, and truly, anchors are everywhere reporting the traffic jammed and chaos happening on the road. The thing is, the snow was unexpected today.

At any rate, loves the snow.. its so pretty. Hope it stays on.. and keep coming for the next few days. :-)

Jolly Ole' Me

~To switch off music, scroll way down to the bottom and hit the Pause Button~

I
have this long sleeves T shirt that have the letter GAP printed with the G wearing Santa's hat, that I put on today. I only wear this T Shirt like during the holiday's month, sort of. Out of the blue my nine year old daughter asked me why I don't wear it most of the times. "Duh" I said in response to her, "it's so obvious, don't you think so. Won't it be weird if I wear it on any other time." "You'll be Jolly" she quipped offhandedly back to me. That put a smile on my face :-) I can't find any words to smart back at her. What went throught my mind were.... hmm.. didn't know that my kids even noticed what I wear or not wear... and "am I not jolly" followed my thoughts. Nay! ;-)

Kids are blessings and gifts from the Lord. Jolly Ole' me are very thankful :-)

Mom's Time Out

Today I am taking Time Out for an hour or so for the evening. Hubby is home today, working from home actually, so I took the opportunity to stay home and let hubby bring Ethan to his Soccer practice. By the time the kids comes home from school, hubby would be done with his work. Earlier I arranged a car-pool with another mom for Marcie to her Soccer Practice. It makes a different to me, even if its only an hour leisure time to myself, hence the blogging today hehe. Normally, by 4:30 after the kids came back from school, had their snacks then we would have to get going and go to their Soccer practices.. every Teusday and Thursday. Their games are on Friday (Marcie) and Saturday (Marcie and Ethan). Its getting colder now that Fall is here, I hope the Soccer season would be over soon, so that I won't have to be sitting outdoor, while watching my kids practice and during their games. My body endurance for cold is not as good as before, part of getting old I guess :-)

For dinner tonight since I have a little bit more time to prep the food stuff, I made fried glass-noodle. Its kinda a Korean fusion recipe... I think. In Sabah the noodle is knowns as "tangfoon" the clear and slippery noodle. I have to say... it taste better than the regular rice noodle (meefoon). Garnished it with lightly boiled sayur bunga and minced pork for flavor.

So much for Mom-Time's-Out eh.. I still have to do work. Ah well.. an hour time out is better than nothing :-) .

Jetleg

"Jetleg"... wonder who came up with the word. At any rate, that's exactly what I went through for the past weeks, upon coming back from Malaysia. Been sleeping for the longest hours during the day, and awake most of the nights. I am feeling more exhausted now, then when I was back in Malaysia. I wonder if it is because of the weather condition, Malaysia being Hot and Humid and here back in Oregon, its been so gloomy most of the time.

Gosh! its getting so late, I should catch some sleep first.... to be continued:-

Boredom Comes from a Boring Mind.

One thing I do best is ramble... guess thats why I have this blog in the first place, that is for me to appease my ramblings, I guess. Somewhat, I am the kind of person who say or write whatever comes to mind, without the editing or sort. I am not good in creative writing... that I had to admit, in any language, for that matter.. hah! Neither am I good in essay writing, nor in expressing myself in print, and as for my grammer... for crying out loud! Ah well, whatever! Somehow, I have this needs to let out stuff that goes through my realm of thoughts, should I go back blogging? I asked myself. Maybe I should.

Well, It's been ages since I last came to ramble here, but can't fight this sudden inclination that came over me, the need to write my thoughts, so, here I am... making a come back.

Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.

What a Life :-) a Techie Mom life ;-)

Few years back, I received a lot of evites to register for facebook but I was adamant not to add another net-working portal to my overwhelming list as it was already, as I cannot cope to frequent all anymore, so I thought! :-)

But, Ringo ended it's picture sharing service, I then succumbed and joined fellow net-crawlers in facebooking as most of my good friends and acquaintance made with my fellow country folks are on it. I have to admit now that I am, an avid net-crawlers at facebook, hmmm... imagine that :-) eh.

I then found the world of twitters, got an account..... its free so no problem there :-). Though I am not twitting by the minuets or hours, so to speak... but the advantage I gets from it is that, the instant updates and/or alerts from fellow twitters, about happenings everywhere around the world, on first hand knowldge... for crying out loud, its just amazing.

So, then I initiated the folks at SabahanFM http://sabahan.FM/listen.pls to get on twitters, just so that I can get an alert from them :-) I bet, like any other sabahan who are not in the same time zone as Sabah, Malaysia.. it would be great to be alerted for special events that we're vying for, as per the recent LIVE Streaming from KDCA on the Sagundoi 2009... which I am now ever so thankful to Sabahan.FM founder and its' crew.

Speaking for myself, due to the 15 hours time zone different, the alert via twitter, helps a lot. I was like sleeping at about 5 am when my cellphone twits and alerted me, hence I had the pleasure of listening to the Sagundoi 2009 from KDCA via Sabahan.FM internet radio streaming, all the way here in Oregon. How cool is that eh!

Okay.. other than the activities above, I chats on Gtalk with some good friend of mine, voice talk with friends on Yahoo, call my family on Skype, talk to friends on my cell, update my blog and blog hopping, check out new recommended webs and probably registered for new account and ect.

Sounds crazy right, but weird, somehow I still find time to be with the family, run errands, do household work (well sometimes my home is just like its just been swept by tornado), cook meals, get together with friends [ not virtually mind you :-) ], listens to my collection of Audio Book, go to movies, watch my favourite show on TV and do garden works during a good warm sunny day. What a life eh.

Well, as the saying goes... "Go with the flow", and I believe that one have to keep up with the world, in it's evolution. There's nothing to be afraid of , especially the Change!.... per se! In my book there's no such thing as one is too old or uncultivated enough, for a change or to learn new things or technology. In life we always have to learn, to keep up, regardless. At least learn the basic or the concept of the new things.. learn a little bit of it. One doesn't have to ace in everything, but just so that one knows how to go about in this era where technology rules hehe... kinda. Almost got carried away there for a moment. But.. you know what I meant eh.
